peppy I have a Toy Fox Terrier, Trixie, for a pet and she is a great dog! She travels great, is loving, fun and doesn't need a lot of exercise or grooming. As far as dogs go, she is super low maintenance. I can let her off the leash and she will walk right beside me. She will fetch, sit, and curl up under the covers when it is cold outside. She doesn't much care for kids but she tolerates them alright.
My Trixie is a rescue dog but even after all the hell she was put through during the first part of her life, she is a joy to be around now. She is also small enough that if I needed to take her on an airplane she would be fine in the cabin.
Toy Fox Terriers are GREAT dogs!
